Community Fitness with Peak Fitness YYC

August 25, 2021

In 2016, Nate Bodewitz Bkin decided to open his own fitness business. One of the biggest questions he faced was where to open his doors. He settled on Currie, drawn to the accessibility of the central location and ample parking. He was also drawn to the abundant natural light that streams into his space on Battleford Ave.

What is Peak Fitness YYC?

Peak Fitness YYC is a fitness studio that specializes in personal training, customized fitness programs, pre and postnatal fitness, and nutrition training. Through one-on-one training, consultations, and group classes, Nate and his team love helping individuals reach their health and fitness goals.

Why is Currie the Perfect Home for Peak Fitness YYC?

Nate’s passion for fitness is driven by his dedication to the community. He loves being able to help people reach their goals and improve their quality of life through fitness. He is grateful to be part of a growing and thriving community of residents and business owners in Currie. As the area continues to develop and attract more people, Nate looks forward to helping more people get in touch with their inner strength via personal training and group fitness classes.

Nate’s Favourite Things about Currie

According to Nate, lunch at Wild Rose Brewery is “a must” while he spends his days helping people reach their fitness goals. He also loves the abundant greenspace in the area, including the trails and Bark Park. While he doesn’t live in the community, he admires the diversity of home styles being built, especially the homes with carriage suites offered by Empire Custom Homes and Crystal Creek Homes.

Looking to the Future

Like so many others, Nate is looking forward to what the next year (and beyond) has in store. In the five years Peak Fitness YYC has been operating in Currie, Nate has had the chance to watch the community grow right in front of his eyes. The blend of old and new throughout the area provides the perfect backdrop for work and fun. With public health regulations easing up, both Nate and his clients are excited to get back into the gym and enjoying Currie.
